Job Purpose

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional collection and delivery of laundry, workwear, and related products to customer sites. This role operates on a zero-hours basis, meaning hours are offered in line with business demand and there is no obligation on the Company to offer work, nor on the individual to accept it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and deliver goods to customer sites in accordance with planned delivery routes and schedules
  • Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring goods are secured and handled with care
  • Complete vehicle checks prior to use and report defects promptly
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, paperwork, and digital tracking where required
  • Provide a professional and courteous service to customers at all times
  • Adhere to all road traffic laws, driver hours rules, and Company policies
  • Follow health & safety procedures, including manual handling and safe vehicle operation
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of Company vehicles
  • Communicate effectively with transport, production, and site teams regarding delays or issues
  • Comply with all Company policies including Health & Safety, Data Protection, and Code of Conduct

This role is offered on a zero-hours contract. Working hours will vary week to week based on operational requirements. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours. Shifts may be offered at short notice depending on business needs. You are not obliged to accept work offered, and the Company is not obliged to offer work.

  • Full UK driving licence (appropriate category for the vehicle used)
  • Ability to drive safely and responsibly
