We are currently recruiting for a Void Finisher to join our team in Swindon.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Void Finisher / Snagger to ensure newly completed properties are finished to a high standard prior to handover. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong practical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to rectify defects and complete finishing tasks.
Responsibilities- Carry out snagging works and finishing tasks on completed properties to ensure a high‑quality finish.
- Identify and rectify defects, cosmetic issues, and minor repairs including plastering, painting, mastic work, and general finishing tasks.
- Complete touch‑up work to walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces as required.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with company standards and customer expectations.
- Work closely with site managers and other trades to resolve outstanding issues efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and site procedures.
- Report any major defects, safety concerns, or material shortages to the supervisors.
- Carry out other duties as required to support the successful completion of properties.
- Previous experience as a Void Finisher, Snagger, Multi‑Skilled Operative, or in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship.
- Experience in basic plastering, painting, decorating, mastic application, and minor repairs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements within the construction industry.
- Full UK driving licence is desirable.
- CSCS card is advantageous but not essential.
