Rota: 2 to 8 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off

Social Care in Action is proud to support individuals across the Southampton community, helping them stay safe, well, and independent in their own homes. We are currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated Female Live-In Carer to join our team. As a Live-In Carer, you will provide 24‑hour support to our customers over a 2 to 8 weeks period, living alongside them while they remain in their own home.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily living activities, including personal care, cooking, and household tasks
  • Promoting mental stimulation and physical activity
  • Ensuring privacy, dignity, and respect at all times
  • Delivering person‑centred care tailored to individual needs
  • Communicating effectively with customers, colleagues, and families

This role operates on a 2 to 8 weeks on rota, with a rest period during the day at allocated times. While a driving licence is not essential, it is advantageous.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, compassionate, and dedicated
  • Passionate about making a difference in people’s lives
  • Experienced in health or social care roles (preferred but not essential)
  • Understanding of the importance of rights, dignity, privacy, respect, and choice

Personality and values come first. Previous caring experience is a bonus, but if you have the right attitude and commitment to quality care, we would love to hear from you.

£139.81 per day for live‑in care work

6 weeks paid annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
