We support individuals who may engage in behaviours that challenge using Positive Behaviour Support.
We support individuals living in their own homes with their own tenancies and provide additional external consultancy and training support.

The role
We are looking for a Clinical Consultant to provide clinical input and leadership in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to primarily lead on developing our external clinical consultancy and training offer but also to provide internal clinical oversight and supervision to our existing team members and people we support.
This will be through working directly with people we support or through consultancy, providing training and providing management and supervision to members of the clinical team.
We have a strong clinical team, and we are looking for exceptional candidates to add to this strength.
Our aim is to change the world for the individuals we support and challenge the world of PBS in the UK.

Some examples of the developments PBS4 have been central in have included organising the PBS Festival, developing and supporting PBS networks locally, supporting the RCN Learning Disability Forum, and supporting the work of the UK Society of Behaviour Analysis.

We have a high density of support within our clinical team, and the clinical team are a hugely valued resource in our organisation, with evidence‑based approaches being a priority for the people we support.
The direct clinical input, using evidence‑based practice, is the cornerstone to what we do.
You will make life‑changing improvements for the people we support, and career‑changing support to our employees.
This role will be a 12 month fixed term contract but dependent on growth of the organisation there may be options for extending this.
- You will already be a Certified UK Behaviour Analyst/UKBA(Cert)
- You will have met the requirements with the UK-SBA for providing supervision
- You will share our passion for ensuring Positive Behaviour Support is delivered to the highest quality, setting the standards internally and for others who aspire to achieve what we are achieving.
- You will be able to lead the implementation of PBS in the social care we provide.
- You will have experience utilising PBS with adults and children with learning disabilities and/or autism.
- You will be a car driver, able to support all of our teams across the organisation.
- You will be independently driven, able to identify your own priorities and priorities for your team.
- Able to complete functional behaviour assessments and develop function‑based PBS Plans.
- You will work in partnership with people we support, their families, and other organisations, including NHS teams and Local Authorities.
- Experience of working in supported living, social care settings.
- Experience of providing consultancy and training support.
- Experience working a behaviour consultant with individuals with mental health diagnosis.
- Confidence in presenting and disseminating our work.
- Experience in providing clinical and line management supervision.
- Experience of delivering training to others.
- Experience in developing and implementing policy and strategy, to support our Senior Operations Team to achieve the cultures we aspire to create and uphold.
