The Role
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard to join our campus operations team. This role is essential in maintaining a safe and secure environment while also supporting front desk and administrative functions. The successful candidate will combine security responsibilities with strong customer service and administrative support, ensuring smooth day-to-day campus operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor campus security to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors
- Manage reception duties and front desk operations
- Handle visitor entry, maintain visitor logs, and monitor access control
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or suspicious activity
- Monitor CCTV systems and report any security concerns
- Assist with opening and closing campus facilities
- Handle telephone calls, emails, and general reception enquiries
- Deal with student queries and provide operational support
- Contact vendors and collect quotations for required services or purchases
- Support admission-related tasks when assigned by management
- Assist with recruitment-related activities when required
- Support facilities management and maintenance coordination
- Report health and safety concerns to management
- Ensure campus rules and policies are always followed
- Support event setup and operational arrangements when required
- Maintain accurate daily operational and incident records
- Provide general administrative support to campus management
About You
- Previous experience in a security, facilities, or front desk role
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations
- Basic administrative and computer skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts
- Understanding of health and safety practices
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
- SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence
- Experience working in an educational environment
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and access control tools
- Experience in facilities coordination or administrative support
