Role Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Roofer to join our team located in the Northwest London area. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems for residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in roofing, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Install new roofing systems, including shingles, tiles, metal, and flat roofing.
- Work closely with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working at heights and using ladders, scaffolding, and harnesses.
- Safely transport and manage roofing materials from delivery to the job site.
- Ensure all materials are on-site and ready for installation.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Provide updates on project status and communicate any changes in timelines or scope as necessary.
- Be familiar with emergency procedures and protocols to ensure team safety during adverse weather conditions or accidents.
You Will Need:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Construction or social housing background preferred but not essential.
- City in Guilds/NVQ or relevant experience.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work under own initiative and under pressure.
- Flexibility: potential on-call rota up to 8pm requirement for evening appointments.
