We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to work across two popular casual dining venues in Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys variety, working with fresh ingredients, and being part of a supportive team. You'll split your time between two well-established restaurants, supporting kitchen operations while helping maintain high standards of food quality and consistency. Both venues have built strong local reputations for quality food, welcoming service, and a positive team culture. You'll be joining a business with a hands-on owner who values and supports their team.

The Role

  • Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Lead kitchen shifts and help manage service
  • Maintain high food quality and presentation standards
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and waste management
  • Train and support junior kitchen team members
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
  • Work across both sites to support operational requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef, or a strong Chef de Partie ready for the next step
  • Experience working in a fresh-food kitchen
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure during busy services
  • A positive attitude and team-focused approach
  • Flexibility to work across two locations
  • Driving licence and own transport preferred
