Receptionist – 1 Year FTC Maternity Cover
Location: 5 days per Week at our HQ in Chaddesden, Derby, DE21 6BF
Start Date: 2nd November 2026
End Date: November 2027
Fixed Term Contract: Full Time Hours, Mon – Fri 9-5
Salary: £21,158 (basic salary for under 21) – £24,785 (basic salary for over 21)
Recruitment Process: 20 Minute Virtual Interview with Recruitment, 1 Hour Interview with Hiring Manager at our Derby HQ

The Opportunity
As the Receptionist for Right Legal Group, you will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors and business partners.
You will be responsible for managing reception activities, handling client enquiries, coordinating appointments and providing administrative support to ensure the Head Office operates efficiently.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome clients, visitors and guests in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
- Act as the first point of contact for incoming telephone calls, emails and general enquiries, ensuring they are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure meeting rooms and reception areas are presented to a high standard at all times.
- Offer refreshments and assistance to clients attending appointments.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post, deliveries and courier services.
- Accurately update and maintain client records, databases and case management systems.
- Assist with general administrative duties including scanning, filing, document preparation and data entry.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure client enquiries are directed to the appropriate team.
- Monitor office supplies and arrange orders when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information in accordance with company procedures and data protection requirements.
- Contribute to delivering an exceptional client experience that reflects the values and professionalism of Right Legal Group.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a reception, front of house, customer service or administrative role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and confident telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM/case management systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Friendly, approachable and professional presentation.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
