This role supports compliance with UK legislation, ISO standards, and company policies, while fostering a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, wellbeing, and continuous improvement across all operational areas.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Management
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Act as deputy representative for quality assurance where required.
  • Maintain and update documentation for ISO certifications; coordinate internal audits and ISO audits. Assist the bids/tender team with QHSE questionnaires and client audits.
  • Monitor compliance with quality procedures across sites and projects.
  • Health and Safety
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding HSEmatters, providing guidance and support.
  • Participate in site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to identify risks and ensure compliance.
  • Participate in investigating accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and track corrective/preventative actions.
  • Maintain up-to-date safety procedures, fire management records, and first-aid readiness.
  • Support safety culture initiatives, induction and refresher training, and behaviour-based safety programs.
  • Lead office site safety.
  • Monitor environmental performance, including energy usage, emissions, and waste management.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and maintain ISO 14001:2015 standards.
  • Support environmental initiatives and sustainability programs, promoting best practices.
  • Wellbeing and Training
  • Track and report QHSE training for staff; maintain safety training portals.
  • Advise on ergonomics, mental workload, and overall employee well-being.
  • Assist in planning and executing awareness campaigns.
  • Reporting and Administration
  • Compile monthly dashboards, KPIs, and QHSE performance reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of accidents, incidents, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Support management by providing analysis and trending to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate supplier and contractor compliance management, including certifications and Safe Contractor requirements.
  • Ensure QHSE policies, procedural changes, updates, and certifications are effectively communicated and implemented.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and environmental meetings and committees, providing actionable input.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimal experience in a QHSE coordination role required, but must have a passion for the area, be a keen learner with great initiative.
  • Knowledge of UK HSE legislation, ISO standards, and industry best practices advantageous.
  • Strong communication, organisational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, data management, and reporting systems.

Employment Type

Full-time, permanent position based in Dyce, Aberdeen.
