The Role
We are passionate about producing simple, honest food using fresh ingredients, cooked properly and served with pride. We have a mix of traditional pub classics and are open to any and all ideas for specials on the menu. This is a great village pub with consistent regular custom alongside their beloved four-legged friends. As a Senior Chef, you'll be responsible for maintaining high food standards while supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen and helping deliver an excellent dining experience for our guests. This is a hands-on role within a busy fresh-food environment where quality, consistency, and teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook fresh dishes to a consistently high standard
- Take ownership of your section during service
- Support the Head Chef with kitchen operations
- Assist with menu development and daily specials
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Help manage stock rotation and minimise waste
- Support and mentor junior team members where required
- Deliver quality and consistency during busy service periods
- Contribute ideas to improve systems, menus, and kitchen efficiency
- Help support the future growth and development of the kitchen team

- Previous experience as a Senior CDP, Sous Chef or Head Chef
- Experience working in a fresh-food kitchen environment
