Role Overview: As a Painter and Decorator, you are responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, varnishes, wallpaper, and other finishes to protect, maintain, and decorate interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and other structures. The role ensures that spaces are both visually appealing and protected from wear and environmental damage.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating including filling, sanding, stripping wallpaper, and priming surfaces.
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and wallpapers to interiors and exteriors using brushes, rollers, and other tools.
- Carry out minor plastering and repairs where necessary before decorating.
- Work on void and tenanted properties ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
