The Opportunity
As an Outbound Sales Advisor at Right Legal Group, you’ll be the first point of verbal contact for people who already hold a Will – often one made years ago with a law firm that has since retired, closed, or stopped acting as custodian of it. This isn’t your typical sales role; it’s about quickly building trust, understanding people’s circumstances during sensitive moments, and guiding them towards the right legal support. You’re also selling the benefits of protection – you’re not selling products, you’re selling a no obligation, no cost will review.
Each client will have received a letter from us first, but they won’t be expecting your call at the time you make, so it takes real skill, tenacity and resilience to engage them in those first few seconds, explain the value of a no-cost Will review, and book a quality appointment with one of our Legal Advisors that goes ahead. You’ll handle inbound enquiries too, and along the way you’ll build a deep understanding of our legal services and learn to explain them clearly, with empathy and professionalism. This is an exciting opportunity to step into the legal industry without needing a law degree, and is perfect for anyone from a customer-focused background who’s looking for a new career path with real purpose, structure, and progression.
What You’ll Do
- Make outbound calls to clients who hold an existing Will – typically one made with a law firm that has since retired, closed, or is no longer custodian of that Will. Each call is preceded by a letter.
- You’ll also call clients who hold a RightWill, so they have instructed us in the past; you’re calling to offer a no cost review, as life events occur which means a Will needs regular updates.
- Quickly and robustly engage each client, explain the value of a no-cost Will review, and book an appointment with one of our Legal Advisors – your goal is appointments that are booked and go ahead (“sit”).
- Assess each client’s circumstances and identify the right next step for them, so the appointment you book is the right one.
- Handle inbound enquiries and identify the appropriate service for each client’s needs.
- Achieve your individual targets and KPIs – including appointment volume and quality – while following our business processes and regulatory requirements.
- Keep our database accurate and up to date, recording outcomes and maintaining consistent client communication.
- Represent Right Legal Group professionally at every contact, building rapport and trust.
- Take part in ongoing training, coaching and development to sharpen your technique and support your growth.
Client Experience
- Deliver a professional, empathetic, and personalised service at every stage of the client journey.
- Proactively manage follow‑ups to keep clients informed and engaged.
- Respond to client concerns or queries promptly, resolving issues to a high standard.
- Act as an ambassador for Right Legal Group’s values and brand.
What Good Looks Like
- Take ownership of their results – they know that making calls isn’t the same as booking appointments that sit, and they own the outcome.
- Deliver 4–6 appointments a day.
- Are self‑starting and well‑organised – they get going and keep going with little procrastination, staying on top of a high volume of calls.
- Show tenacity and persuasive skill – they take more than one approach and make different arguments to bring a hesitant client on board.
- Stay composed under pressure – they’re aware of their own triggers and emotions and keep their focus and energy up through knock‑backs.
- Build trust quickly – they tune in to what matters most to each client, show genuine empathy, and earn confidence in a short call.
- Are curious and coachable – they ask for feedback, know their own limitations, and use coaching to keep improving.
- Take professional pride – they do what they say they’ll do, follow our processes (including data handling and compliance), and represent the brand well.
We would love to hear from you if
- You have a strong background in sales, customer service, or hospitality with the drive to succeed.
- You have a passion for understanding client needs and delivering a 5‑star experience.
- You are a confident communicator, both over the phone and in writing.
- You are resilient, driven, and motivated to hit and surpass performance goals.
- You are someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment.
- You are a self‑starter with a positive attitude and professional outlook.
We want you to thrive, so it’s only fair to be upfront. This role might not be the right fit if
- You prefer warm or inbound leads – most of your calls are to people who aren’t expecting to hear from you, and you’ll need to earn their attention in the first few seconds.
- Knock‑backs take the wind out of you – rejection is part of outbound calling, and you’ll need resilience to keep your energy up across the day.
- You measure success by activity alone – it’s the appointments that are booked and actually go ahead that count, not just the number of dials.
- You’d rather work without targets – this is a KPI‑driven role with daily and weekly goals.
- You tend to cut corners under pressure – we work with potentially vulnerable clients in a regulated environment, so quality and compliance can’t be traded for speed.
- You find feedback or coaching hard to take – daily coaching is central to how we help you get better.
Where this role can take you
- Legal advisory – progress into Legal Advisor roles (Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced), learning to advise clients directly on Wills and Estate Planning. No law degree needed to begin.
- Qualifying as a solicitor – for those who want to go further, our advisory pathway can open the door to a training contract and qualification as a solicitor.
- Leadership – step up through Team Leader, Manager and Head of roles as you develop the skill to lead and grow others.
- Across the network – move or relocate into one of our many branches across the country as you progress.
Whatever path you choose - deeper specialism or broader leadership we’ll support you through annual career planning to help you get there.
