We're looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team at Otley Garden Centre. If you're passionate about food, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and take pride in delivering excellent customer experiences, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing
As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll help keep our kitchen running smoothly by:
- Preparing and cooking menu items to a high standard
- Supporting your team to deliver great food and service
- Receiving, storing and organising deliveries
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleaning standards
- Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Checking stock, dates and food quality
- Using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Helping to reduce waste and keep the kitchen organised
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a kitchen, catering or hospitality environment
- Works well in a busy team and communicates effectively
- Is organised, reliable and able to use their initiative
- Understands food hygiene, allergens and kitchen safety
- Can stay calm under pressure and maintain high standards
- Holds a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)
