The Opportunity
My client is looking for a passionate Head Chef to lead a well-established fresh-food kitchen with an excellent reputation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who wants to make their mark. As an independent business, you'll have the freedom to introduce new ideas, develop seasonal menus, improve kitchen operations, and help drive the future growth of the food offering. My client is looking for a candidate with a passion for the industry, food and culture that can be with them for years to come.
The venue currently hosts around 20 boutique weddings and events each year and has exciting plans to expand its private dining and corporate event business.
The Role
You'll lead the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, ensuring exceptional food quality, strong financial control, and an outstanding experience for every guest.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team
- Maintain high fresh-food standards
- Create seasonal menus and daily specials
- Manage stock, GP, and food costs
- Produce staff rotas and oversee kitchen operations
- Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs
- Maintain excellent Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards
- Work closely with the General Manager to drive the business forward
What We're Looking For
- Previous Head Chef experience or a strong Senior Sous Chef ready to step up
- Fresh-food background
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Experience managing food costs and kitchen budgets
- Passion for menu development and quality ingredients
- A hands‑on leader who enjoys developing their team
- Worked in Rosette accredited environments
- UK Driver due to location
