Otley Garden Centre has recently been refurbished and is looking better than ever – fresh, modern, and ready to welcome even more customers. Our restaurant is right at the heart of the experience, and we’re looking for a Catering Supervisor who’s ready to step up, take ownership, and work hand-in-hand with our Catering Manager.

This is more than just a “run a shift” role. You’ll play a key part in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, making sure everything runs efficiently and our standards are delivered every single day. You’ll support the Catering Manager closely and confidently step up to lead the team when they’re not on site, ensuring service, standards, and team performance never drop. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week including alternate weekends.

  • Supporting the Catering Manager in the smooth, efficient running of the restaurant day to day
  • Leading the team on shift – delegating tasks, guiding performance, and keeping everything on track
  • Acting as the “eyes and ears” of the operation, staying aware of what’s happening across the floor at all times
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and confidently handling any issues or complaints
  • Coaching, training and developing team members to deliver high standards
  • Supporting rotas, absence management, and team organisation
  • Keeping standards high across cleanliness, food quality, and service delivery
  • Managing priorities during busy periods and making sure the right things get done at the right time
  • Taking ownership of the operation when the Catering Manager is off

We’re after someone who’s ready for that next step — or already supervising in a fast-paced catering or hospitality environment. You’ll be:

  • A confident leader who can direct and delegate, not just get stuck in
  • Great with people – able to motivate, coach, and address issues early
  • Organised and able to prioritise effectively under pressure
  • Commercially aware and keen to learn more about budgets and performance
  • Hands‑on, but able to focus on high-value supervisory tasks
  • A strong communicator who works collaboratively with the Catering Manager

Work in a beautifully refurbished, modern environment. A genuine opportunity to develop and step up into management. Be part of a supportive, energetic team. A role where you’ll have real responsibility and influence. A fast‑paced, fun environment where no two days are the same.

Ready to step up? If you’re ready to take the next step in your catering career and play a key role in leading a busy, customer-focused restaurant, we’d love to hear from you!
