The Role

Sitting within our pre‑construction and commercial function, you will support estimating, technical design and bid development across complex, multi‑discipline projects, weighted towards IT infrastructure, structured cabling, low‑voltage electrical and wireless systems. You will work alongside senior estimators and designers, with structured support and a clear pathway toward a senior role.

  • Prepare cost estimates and support tender submissions for technically complex projects
  • Help define scope, assumptions, exclusions and commercial considerations under senior guidance
  • Develop technical and commercial proposal content, including pricing models and supporting documentation
  • Support the development and review of technical designs and surveys, working with internal engineers and external partners
  • Engage with clients during bid and pre‑construction stages, supporting senior team members
  • Contribute to winning work through accurate estimating, technical input and professional engagement

About You

An estimator and designer from a technology, infrastructure or engineering background, looking to progress toward a senior role. Typically 3+ years' relevant experience, supported by industry qualifications or demonstrable practical experience. Experience in one or more of: IT infrastructure, structured cabling (copper and fibre), low‑voltage electrical, or wireless and cellular technologies. Commercially aware, keen to learn and comfortable working within design-and-build or early engagement environments with support. Strong Excel skills, with clear written and numerical ability.

Highly desirable: exposure to frameworks, Schedule of Rates or public‑sector procurement, and experience with tools such as Simpro, Contract Master, AutoCAD Build, BIM, Ekahau, Trimble, BlueBeam or FieldWire. Full training will be provided.
