Role Overview

We are looking for an organised, proactive and personable HR Administrator to provide efficient support across HR and general office administration.

The role will administer key aspects of the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, pensions, staff benefits administration, employee records and offboarding, alongside supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration

  • Administer the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to offboarding.
  • Coordinate recruitment, including job adverts, applications, interviews, offers, references and pre-employment checks (including right-to-work checks).
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters, HR correspondence and employee documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems in line with UK GDPR.
  • Administer monthly payroll, including new starters, leavers, salary changes, absences and other payroll information, liaising with our payroll provider and Finance.
  • Administer workplace pensions and employee benefits, including enrolment, changes and leavers.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring employees have access to current documentation.
  • Maintain training records and coordinate mandatory and other relevant training.
  • Coordinate the annual appraisal/performance review process, including scheduling, documentation and follow-up.
  • Monitor probation periods, employee changes, key dates and other HR administration.
  • Support employee queries relating to HR, payroll, pensions and benefits.
  • Support managers with absence management and employee relations matters, including preparing documentation and taking notes at meetings.
  • Coordinate the employee offboarding process, including final payroll, benefits, return of company property and updating records.
  • Manage the general email inbox, responding to or forwarding enquiries as required.
  • Receive, distribute and send post and deliveries.
  • Provide administrative support to management and the wider team.
  • Assist with other office administration duties at the Newport office when required.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in HR and/or office administration.
  • Experience with payroll, pensions, benefits and employee records.
  • Experience supporting recruitment and the employee lifecycle.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Professional, approachable and proactive manner.

Desirable:

CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards one), and knowledge of UK employment law and HR practice.

Salary:

Depending on experience.
