Acquired as a strategic bolt-on to Green Zone, Enviroduct bringscomplementary technical capabilities and an established client base that significantly deepens the group’s offering within the HVAC and building hygiene segment.

Enviroduct is also scaling at pace with a clear plan on field growth.

Together, Green Zone and Enviroduct form a compelling, integrated service platform, well-positioned to become the definitive provider of HVAC compliance and hygiene services across the UK.

Both businesses sit within Vadella, a private equity-backed group of operating companies scaling rapidly across complementary sectors.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially driven, operationally astute leader to take the helm of two market-leading businesses at a defining moment in their growth journeys.

The Managing Director will hold full P&L accountability across Green Zone Surveys and Enviroduct, driving continued revenue growth, operational efficiency and cultural excellence, whilst playing an active role within the Vadella Group’s senior leadership community.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of field-based, service-led businesses, appreciating that scale, utilisation and productivity of field teams are the primary engines of profitability.

They will be energised by pace, comfortable operating in a PE-backed environment andambitious to build something truly category-defining.

The Managing Director will report directly to the CEO of Green Zone Surveys and Enviroduct, and will be an active contributor to the Vadella Group senior leadership forum.

The MD will be expected to work closely with the Vadella Board and investor group on strategy, performance and value creation planning.

  • What you will be doing
  • Strategic Leadership & Growth
  • Drive the strategic vision for Green Zone Surveys and Enviroduct, in full alignment with Vadella’s group strategy and growth ambitions.
  • Drive significant and sustained annual revenue growth, reinforcing the businesses’ position as the dominant players within the HVAC / Building Hygiene compliance market.
  • Evaluate potential tuck-in acquisition targets to further strengthen the platform, working inclose collaboration with the Vadella corporate development team.
  • Position Green Zone as the anchor business for the HVAC / Hygiene segment within Vadella, building the infrastructure, brand and capability to successfully integrate futurebolt-on acquisitions.
  • Lead commercial strategy, pricing, tendering and client development to maximise market shareand revenue quality.
  • Hold full accountability for the P&L across both Green Zone Surveys and Enviroduct, ensuring delivery of agreed financial targets and KPIs.
  • Manage cost bases effectively whilst continuing to invest in the capability and capacity required to sustain the pace of growth.
  • Provide clear, accurate and insightful financial reporting to Callum Thompson (CEO) and the Vadella Board on a regular cadence.
  • Drive operational leverage, ensuring that revenue growth translates into improving margins and sustainable profitability.
  • Operational Excellence & Field Delivery
  • Oversee the delivery of field-based services across both businesses, ensuring operational standards, health & safety, quality and customer satisfaction are consistently upheld.
  • Champion a culture of utilisation and productivity within field teams, deploying data-led scheduling and resource planning to maximise field efficiency and capacity.
  • Build scalable operational processes, systems and frameworks that allow both businesses togrow rapidly without sacrificing quality or margin.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory, health & safety and industry standards across both businesses at all times.
  • People & Culture
  • Build, inspire and retain a high-performing senior leadership team across both businesses, creating a culture defined by accountability, ambition and continuous improvement.
  • Drive employee engagement across field and support functions, ensuring both Green Zone and Enviroduct are employers of choice in their respective markets.
  • Develop robust succession pipelines and talent strategies across commercial, operational andfield-based functions.
  • Lead integration activities where relevant, ensuring that acquired businesses are embeddedeffectively and efficiently into the Green Zone platform.
  • Stakeholder & Client Management
  • Serve as a senior ambassador for Green Zone and Enviroduct with key clients, prospects, partners and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strategic client relationships, supporting business development activity and long-term contract retention.
  • Work in close partnership with the CEO and the wider Vadella leadership team to ensure strategic alignment on performance, growth plans and cultural direction.
  • Own regulatory compliance and H&S strategy. Ensure adherence to TR19 and safety legislation. Lead audit readiness, risk frameworks and Board-level reporting.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Managing Director, CEO or equivalent senior P&L leader, with ademonstrable track record of driving revenue growth and operational improvement.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with proven experience developing and executing growth strategies within a fast-paced, scaling business environment.
  • Experience operating in a field-based, service-led business - with a clear understanding of thecritical importance of utilisation, scheduling, field team productivity and operational leverage.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop high-performing teams across operational, commercial and support functions.
  • Strong financial literacy and confidence in owning a full P&L, managing budgets, forecastingand reporting to board level.
  • Experience within a private equity-backed or investor-owned environment, with familiarity of PE reporting cadence, KPI frameworks and value creation planning.
  • Background in the built environment, facilities management, HVAC, building services, compliance or a closely adjacent sector is preferred.
  • Track record of supporting or leading M&A activity, including post-acquisition integration.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, building hygiene, ventilation compliance or fire safety regulations andstandards.
  • Experience leading a multi-brand or multi-entity business, ideally within a group structure.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
  • Formal training or accreditation in health & safety, risk management or compliance.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and audit frameworks.
  • Commercially driven and financially sharp, always focused on profitable, sustainable growth.
  • Decisive leader with the ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery.
  • Energised by pace and scale, comfortable and effective within a high-growth, high-expectation PE-backed environment.
  • Exceptional communicator and relationship-builder, credible at board level and equally effective on the operational front line.
