We are currently looking for aMulti SkilledOperativeto join our team covering the Edinburgh area.

Role Overview:

You will be expected to carry out a wide range of responsiverepairs, planned maintenance, and refurbishments within occupied and voidsocial housing properties. The role requires competence across multiple trades,ensuring work is completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with health& safety and customer care standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertakea variety of trade tasks including carpentry, plumbing, plastering,painting & decorating, tiling, and basic electrical works.
  • Respondto day-to-day repair requests and emergency call-outs in occupied homes.
  • Carryout Damp & mould property works to ensure homes meet the "LettableStandard" before reoccupation.
  • Carryout reactive & void property works to ensure homes meet the "LettableStandard" during occupation.
  • Carryout void property works to ensure homes meet the "Lettable Standard" duringoccupation and before reoccupation
  • Communicateeffectively with tenants, explaining the nature of work, expectedtimescales, and any disruption.
  • Delivera polite, professional, and respectful service, particularly in occupiedhomes.
  • Ensureall work is compliant with relevant building regulations, companypolicies, and H&S procedures.
  • Useappropriate PPE and maintain safe working environments.
  • Recordwork details accurately via handheld device or job sheet system.
  • Maintaincompany vehicle, tools, and equipment in good order.
  • Thepost holder will also, as required, provide an out of hours serviceprovision on a rota or other basis.

You Will Need:

  • Provenability across multiple trades, ideally within social housing or domesticsettings
  • FullUK driving licence.
  • NVQLevel 2/3 or equivalent in a core trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing,plastering).
  • Experienceworking in occupied properties with a strong focus on customer care.
