What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join the highly successful Comfy Quilts business as part of our warehouse operations team. This is a hands‑on leadership role, responsible for managing teams and supporting the smooth, efficient running of a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of goods receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch
- Work collaboratively with other Shift Managers to maximise operational efficiency
- Lead, manage and motivate teams to consistently meet performance standards
- Coordinate and prioritise shift activities to meet customer requirements and deadlines
- Manage attendance, absence and performance through effective leadership and company policies
- Ensure all processes and procedures are followed, maintaining high operational standards
- Maintain stock accuracy and integrity through training and quality control processes
- Drive performance against KPIs through effective resource and people management
- Proactively identify issues and implement solutions to improve performance
- Encourage team engagement, continuous improvement, and effective teamwork
- Support employee development, including succession planning and training plans
- Maintain accurate WMS records and ensure system housekeeping is up to date
- Deliver clear and comprehensive shift handovers
- Promote a flexible approach to meet changing business needs
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards, promoting a safe working environment
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across the warehouse
- Continuously review and improve operational processes for efficiency and performance
- Lead and support team initiatives, including annual improvement projects (e.g. SWOT analysis)
- Work in line with company sustainability policies and procedures
Knowledge & Experience:
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations
- Proven people management and leadership experience

- Experience managing performance through KPIs
