Where does this role fit in?

  • Manage all packaging across all departments and product categories. This would include:
    • Printed poly bags
    • Card inserts
    • Commodity shippers and cartons
    • Printed shippers
  • Work with multiple stakeholders such as purchasing, buying, demand management, design and marketing.
  • Gatekeeper for the project management of packaging and design in line with the critical path.
  • Overall lead and responsibility for packaging innovation, value engineering and cost saving.
  • Responsible for attending print runs and final gold seal approval to ensure Brand consistency across ranges.
  • Purchasing of all packaging based off forecast and work orders.
  • Managing the digital and hard copy approvals of all packaging, from initial design to final sign off, ensuring consistency through all suppliers.
  • Control and report on all packaging projects from budgets to barriers for project progression.
  • Ensuring artwork changes are managed and prioritised correctly in line with forecast and stock.
  • Track artwork code changes.
  • Brief in artwork updates into Dalim.
  • Have an understanding of commodities pricing, packaging tax, etc.

  • Able to prioritise workload across multiple projects to ensure deadlines are met, with an ability to multitask.
  • First class communication skills, able to work cross functionally and build key relationships across departments.
  • Laser‑like attention to detail. You will have a relentless focus on ‘right first time’ delivery.
  • Driving licence – requirement to travel between our office in Wilmslow and our office in Middleton.
