Job Description: Swimming Instructor (16-20hrs per week, AM or PM 4hr shifts, depending on demand)

Reports to: Swimming Development Manager

Purple Dragon is a luxury private members club, providing effortless family time, all of the time, for families with children up to twelve years of age. We’re the place for children that loves adults, where great memories are made.

Our Swimming Instructor is responsible for ensuring that members and their guests have fun and enjoy all of the great Pool activities and Classes, every time they visit the Club. Our Swimming Instructor is a brand ambassador, this is a customer-facing role where previous experience in leading teams that deliver high service standards is essential.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • To support the Club’s vision of becoming the World’s Best Private Members Club for Families.
  • To work together with the Swimming Pool Manager and ensure that the Swimming Pool operates in line with Health & Safety guidelines and specifically with HSG-179.
  • To assist with the implementation of the Quarterly Swimming activities.
  • To teach swimming classes following the Purple Dragon Swimming curriculum.
  • To undertake such other duties as the Management of the Club might reasonably expect appropriate to the job grade.

Qualifications & skills required:

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Swimming Instructor.
  • Experience with babies and toddlers.
  • Practical knowledge of maintaining Health & Safety standards and documentation.
  • Clear Enhanced DBS.

  • Be organized, calm and professional with attention to detail.
  • Be a great communicator with both children and adults.
  • Patient, caring and well mannered.

Salary: £20-£25 per hour (depending on expereience)
