We’re looking for a confident, positive and experienced Assistant Manager to support the smooth running of our hotel and help ensure our guests receive the friendly, welcoming service that Daish’s is known for.

What will you be doing?
As a Assistant Manager, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the hotel.
You'll work across departments, supporting our teams, dealing with guest queries and helping to ensure our high standards are consistently maintained.
You'll be a key point of contact for both our guests and team members, leading by example and helping to create a positive and welcoming environment throughout the hotel.
Your responsibilities will include
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel and ensuring consistent standards are maintained.
- Providing a positive, helpful and welcoming experience for our guests.
- Dealing with guest complaints and difficult situations calmly, professionally and appropriately.
- Supporting departmental managers and teams to ensure operational standards are achieved.
- Managing, motivating and supporting team members, acting as a positive role model.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues across the hotel.
- Supporting the development, delivery and management of staff training and induction processes.
- Manage the hotel in the General Managers absence.
- Managing staff rotas and supporting effective wage management.
- Using EPOS systems confidently, particularly within bar operations.
- Managing cash handling procedures and ensuring accurate cash management.
- Ensuring Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed throughout the hotel.
- Maintaining a professional and positive approach, even when working under pressure.
- Promoting and upholding Daish’s values and helping to protect the reputation of our brand.

The role involves working up to 6 days per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Shifts are typically 7:00am–3:00pm or 3:00pm–11:00pm, with the occasional mid-shift of 9:00am–5:00pm.
