We are looking for an experienced and motivated Site Manager to join our Leeds depot team. The Site Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of site operations, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The Site Manager is a hands-on leadership role, requiring strong organisational and communication skills, as well as a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of site operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Plan and manage daily site operations, including labour, plant, and materials.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
- Monitor site progress, maintain accurate records, and report to management on project performance.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and management teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Carry out inspections to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
- Identify and resolve issues or delays promptly to minimise project disruption.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement on site.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Site Foreman/Manager (preferably in the Hire and Sales industry).
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and construction processes.
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
- Competent in record keeping, reporting, and using site management tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- CSCS card (Supervisor level or higher).
- SSSTS / SMSTS certification (preferred).
- Full UK driving licence.
