The role…

The senior FP&A analyst is responsible for owning the analytical engine behind Pure’s financial planning and decision making - from subscription and commercial modelling to board reporting.

This is an autonomous hands on role for someone who can turn complex data into commercial insights at a pace that matches the business’ growth.

The role exists to close the analytical gap left as the team scales, ensuring the rigour and speed of the financial analysis and forecasting keeps pace with the business.

Duties and responsibilities of the role are

  • Own and maintain the Abacum forecasting model, ensuring cohort, retention, and unit economic assumptions stay accurate as the business evolves.
  • Provide analytical support for pricing workstreams, including supporting on designing, running and interpreting pricing tests.
  • Deliver regular commercial performance reporting to stakeholders across the business, translating data into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with commercial and operational teams to ensure reporting answers the questions the business is asking.
  • Lead-analytical deep dives into pricing, margin and commercial performance.
  • Strive for constant improvement in process improvements and automation to create more time for value-add activities.

It’s essential that you have

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
  • Experience working in a similar role previously
  • Strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset
  • Excellent Excel skills; experience with FP&A Tools (Abacum, Datarails) and with SQL, BI Tools (Looker) is desired, ability to proactively learn new systems is a must.

What success looks like for this role here at Pure

  • Consistently produces accurate and timely reports, forecasts and analysis on schedule, with minimal rework.
  • Abacum forecast model is fully owned, with refined forecast assumptions and improved granularity.
  • Taking a lead on testing and commercial analysis, with decisions made directly as a result of these outputs.
  • Delivering commercial reporting process improvements to give quicker or more robust business insights.
  • Operating with minimal day-to-day direction and independently scoping and delivering analysis without outside instruction.
  • Proactively identify areas of commercial opportunity and follow through to action with supporting teams.
