The ideal candidate will create an exceptional visitor experience by welcoming guests, managing venue entry, and supporting both event-based and day-to-day operations in the Box Office.
Responsibilities include:
- Sales (using our CRM system Spektrix)
- Customer communications
- Promoting Opera North membership schemes
- Printing and distributing tickets
Working collaboratively with management, the role ensures the smooth and safe running of events and the day-to-day operation of the Box Office with afternoons, evenings and weekends as a priority. This role plays an essential part in shaping a vibrant, welcoming arts venue in the heart of Leeds.
Key accountabilities:
- Give a warm welcome and engage with visitors, ensuring they feel valued and appropriately supported throughout their visit to the Howard Assembly Room.
- Respond to customer queries promptly, providing clear, accurate, and helpful information via email, phone, and in person.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the venue, events, and products to confidently inform visitors and recommend additional services where appropriate.
- Proactively promote and sell tickets, and upsell any additional items such as programmes or merchandise.
- Operate the Box Office Counter including selling tickets and supporting the Duty Manager during events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure all tasks are completed effectively.
- Take initiative by identifying and completing tasks that support the smooth running of the venue.
- Complete any other reasonable duties requested by the Duty Manager on shift.
