We are seeking an organised and proactive Assistant Accommodation Manager to support the effective management of our student accommodation facility at Mezzino, Threadworks, Leeds. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. You will assist in overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the property, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our students.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, professional, and helpful front‑of‑house reception service
  • Respond promptly to enquiries from prospective tenants, parents, and university partners
  • Assist with property viewings, open days, and resident events
  • Welcome and coordinate visitors, contractors, and university staff on‑site
  • Support tenancy administration, including processing deposits and contracts
  • Assist with student allocations and generating tenancy agreements
  • Monitor and manage rent collection and arrears follow‑up
  • Maintain accurate office records, databases, and email communications
  • Liaise with the Facilities team to ensure quick resolution of maintenance issues
  • Support resident check‑ins and check‑outs
  • Support the Accommodation Manager in ensuring Health & Safety compliance across the site

About You

  • Experience in property management, residential lettings, or student accommodation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and adaptable to change
  • Strong IT skills – confident using MS Office and CRM/database systems
  • Able to work occasional weekends to support open days and seasonal demand
