Role Overview: As Site Manager you are responsible for providing an excellent service that is safe, effective and efficient in the delivery of a variety of projects and programs across our varying contracts and ensuring that all works are delivered to the high‑quality standards that our clients expect from us in an efficient and VFM manner. You will be acting as the company’s representation to our clients and their residents, providing effective and efficient communication between the client, residents and our internal project teams. The Site Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships between Cardo and its clients by being open, honest, and transparent.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with contractors and suppliers and making sure the project is finished within the allotted budget and timeframe.
  • Ensuring that all work is completed in line with the programme of works whilst ensuring highest standards of health & safety are observed and followed.
  • Working with and to Building Control regulations and requirements as well as all other statutory and mandatory regulations/legislation and requirements including best practice.
  • Working to drawings and specifications.
  • Attending both internal and client meetings representing the business in a professional manner.
  • Generating, reviewing and achieving programme performance.
  • Being organised and proficient in the use of various ICT systems, regulations, and legislation to the entire building/construction industry as well as H&S and the landlord and tenants act.
  • Adapting and having a willing attitude to work on other departmental work streams for the purpose of team playing and cross covering.
  • Involving residents in the overall process and ensuring they are aware of current situations.
  • Developing effective working relationships with residents, direct labour operatives, sub‑contractors, clients, building control and the local fire authority.
  • Acting as the representative and being the face of Cardo Group.
  • Carrying out/supporting the customer liaison officers with resident consultation/engagement and to support the project team in pre‑consultation and update meetings.
  • Encouraging positive relationships between the company and the residents ensuring actions are followed up.
  • Ensuring works are installed to PAS2030/MCS requirements.
  • Providing clear and concise communication on progress and activity in both technical and clear simple terms.
  • Conveying accurate information both to residents and from residents to the project team.
  • Taking ownership and dealing with customer/resident complaints through to completion and sharing lessons learnt with the project team and senior management team.
  • Strong negotiation and being able to deliver your point in a professional manner and treating others with respect.
  • Updating systems to ensure that all documents relating to your role are saved and ready for auditing in strict accordance with Cardo procedures.
  • Controlling project execution plans and delivering structured updates to the client.
  • Managing, reviewing and monitoring risk, program, plant, quality, cost.
  • Promoting and following good Project governance through the policies and procedures laid out by the Cardo Group.
  • Understanding and working within team targets.
  • Liaising with project Co‑Ordinator to ensure works are compliant.

You Will Need:

  • A minimum of 5 years previous site management experience.
  • Sound knowledge of the social housing sector including planned works programmes and maintenance projects.
  • Sound knowledge of the Construction industry.
  • Experience of working in multiple refurbishment project settings/projects.
  • Sound knowledge of section 20 leaseholder consultation and housing legislation.
  • Experience of multiple communication between supply chain partners, clients, residents and internal staff.
  • Experience of delivering successful outcomes to complaints.

Qualifications:

  • CSCS card in site management.
  • A recognised building/trade qualification.
  • Must hold current valid driving license.
  • Recognised qualifications and or work experience regarding Fire Assessment surveying and remedial works.
