Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operative to join our engineering team in Kilrea, Northern Ireland. This permanent, full-time position is crucial for ensuring the precision and quality of our metal fabrication processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of press brake operations and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in the workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and shape metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the correct bending processes.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of production and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Press Brake Operative or in a similar role within the engineering industry - minimum 2 years experience
- Familiarity with operating press brake machinery and understanding of metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
