An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ATV Operator to join our Remote Access operations team, working with a specialist fleet that includes Softtracks, Hagglunds, Argo and Can-Am vehicles. You will support a wide range of projects by safely operating all-terrain vehicles across challenging environments to move people, equipment and materials.

What you will be doing:

  • Safely operate ATVs over mixed terrain and slopes, including steep ascents, descents, soft ground, mud and water hazards.
  • Load and unload ATVs from trailers and safely load, secure and transport cargo or trailed equipment.
  • Carry out thorough pre- and post-use checks and routine maintenance to keep vehicles in safe working order.
  • Assess risks on site and follow safe systems of work and company procedures at all times.
  • Support operations such as agriculture/forestry tasks, remote construction access, fire management, search and rescue support, or estate and recreation work, depending on project needs.

What we are looking for:

  • ATV training or certification (sit-in) covering safe operation and risk management.
  • Good understanding of ATV controls and basic mechanical/electrical systems, including how load and weight transfer affect handling.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather and over rough ground.
  • Clear communicator who can work safely as part of a team in remote locations.
  • Strong attention to detail for inspections, maintenance records and reporting any faults.
  • Good awareness of PPE and safe working practices (helmets, eye protection, gloves and appropriate clothing).

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Valid ATV operator certification (e.g. Lantra, NPORS, FMOC).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating ATVs/UTVs in a professional environment.
  • Full, clean and valid UK driving licence.
  • Experience with towing trailers and manoeuvring in tight spaces.
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Additional certifications (e.g., first aid, chainsaw operation).
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems.
