Mura Technology's mission is to protect the land, oceans and air from pollution caused by plastic mismanagement. We are pioneering a globally scalable hydrothermal plastic recycling technology, Hydro-PRT, to prevent millions of tonnes of plastic waste and CO2 from entering our natural environment every year, turning a resource worth $1.05tn annually (by 2033) into a valuable global commodity. By recycling the 'unrecyclable' – plastic waste materials currently sent to landfill, incineration or leaked into the environment – Mura's advanced recycling technology is contributing towards a circular economy, while circular hydrocarbons produced via Hydro-PRT significantly reduce carbon emissions from the plastics industry by replacing fossil resources in the manufacturing of new plastic.

About the role:

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for executing the monthly purchasing plan for feedstock and coordinating the dispatch of recycled hydrocarbons to customers. This role requires a strong understanding of the waste management sector, including relevant regulations, operational logistics, and sustainability objectives. The Supply Chain Manager will ensure all feedstock deliveries and product transfers comply with legal, environmental, and organizational requirements while supporting efficiency, cost control, and performance targets. They will oversee the logistics for moving hydrocarbon products to off‐site storage and for subsequent shipment to customers.

The role also includes maintaining accurate records of feedstock deliveries, usage, production, sales, and stock levels, in line with sustainability accreditation standards, environmental permit and other regulatory obligations, including End of Waste and Extended Producer Responsibility compliance.

Summary of Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Feedstock Supply Chain Management: Support the development and optimisation of supply chain processes for the effective management of Recovered Plastic Feedstock (RPF) for the Mura Wilton recycling facility. Manage the supply of RPF including feedstock validation, volume, and delivery planning to meet the requirements of the monthly production forecast.
  • Feedstock Validation: Validate composition by sampling and inspection of goods received in accordance with the site procedure. Site visits will be required to check material sources, the production process and quality. Arrange samples for testing and trial loads for confirmation. Ongoing QA to be managed via inspection of materials delivered to site and periodic sampling and inspection by the site operations team. Maintain sample storage on site.
  • Product Supply Chain Management: Coordinating day‐to‐day product supply chain activities to support timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. Preparing and issuing product testing data, ensuring information is complete and aligned with customer and quality requirements. Managing the operational aspects of the export process, coordinating the completion of export documentation, and ensuring that the correct product certificates and associated paperwork accompany each dispatched load and that information is provided in customer portals, as required. Maintain accurate dispatch and traceability records and work closely with senior management to resolve issues. Regular liaison with customers is required to arrange product collections, confirm readiness for dispatch, and respond to routine queries.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate supplier performance against feedstock specifications, agreed volumes and delivery schedules. Manage quality issues in relation to downgrades and rejects. Track and evaluate product quality against customer specifications and regulatory requirements such as End of Waste specifications.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for Wilton feedstock logistics, building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, hauliers, 3rd party warehouse facilities and internal departments.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all feedstock and product activities adhere to legal, environmental, and health and safety regulations. Identify any associated H&S risks and communicate these to the HSE Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Sustainability Accreditations: Ensure all feedstock supplies are compliant with the company's ISCC+ accreditation via supplier audits and record keeping. Maintain records of compliance. Support the Regulatory Compliance Lead in providing data for external audits. Support the Regulatory Compliance Lead in applications for additional accreditations such as RecyClass.
  • PRN Accreditation: Using operational data along with sampling and inspection records, prepare the monthly report detailing the volume of qualifying packaging waste processed. Submit the completed report to the Site Accountant to support NPWD submissions and PRN sales activity. Support the Regulatory Compliance Lead during audits by the Environment Agency (EA), annual renewal of registration and accreditation, and in responding to queries raised by the EA.
  • Evidence Files: Build and maintain evidence files for each feedstock supplier covering feedstock validation and test reports, ISCC+ declarations and certificates, PRN declarations and environmental permit details. Maintain mass balances for on site and off site feedstock storage facilities. Support the Operations Manager in maintenance of the site mass balance.
  • Data Management: Support introduction of a simple ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to manage material flow, logistics, and documentation.
  • Commercial Optimization: Identify and deliver opportunities to improve commercial performance, such as cost reductions and logistics efficiencies.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce detailed management reports on supplier performance, financial data, and waste stream analysis. Use this data to track progress toward recycling and sustainability goals.
  • Team Working: Provide guidance to the operations team to ensure established operational procedures are followed.
  • Other Commercial Contracts: Management of 3rd party logistics for transport, storage and warehousing for feedstock and products.
