We are looking for a Dry Goods Operative to come and join the Pembrokeshire Creamery Ltd (PCL) team where you will be based at our state‑of‑the art bottling factory in Haverfordwest working as part of a close team all striving towards the same ambition. As a Dry Goods Operative you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by handling and managing dry goods in the production of our dairy products. You will work closely with the Production Manager as well as the Planning and Procurement Advisor to ensure the efficient flow of materials, maintaining inventory levels and helping contribute to the overall success of the production operations. You’ll be naturally friendly and want to get stuck in, working with the team to deliver great results. You’ll have an enthusiastic approach and be a team player with the ability to follow instructions. This role will operate on a rotational shift basis.
You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Receive, inspect and store dry goods in accordance with established procedures.
- De-bagging raw material bottles ready for production in compliance with GMP procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory levels.
- Collaborate with production teams to supply required dry goods as needed for daily operations.
- Perform routine inspections of storage areas to maintain cleanliness and organisation.
- Adhere to safety and quality control standards throughout the handling and storage process.
- Collaborate with the Planning and Procurement Manager to monitor and reorder supplies as needed.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Forklift licence and experience advantageous.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or food processing environment is preferred although not essential as full training will be provided.
- Eagerness to work and self motivated.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
