One Hatfield Hospital, part of Phoenix Hospital Group, is looking for a confident and professional receptionist to join our team on a Flexi Bank arrangement.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who can provide a first-class experience for all patients and visitors.

Reporting to the Front of House Supervisor, the successful receptionist will be responsible for delivering a high standard of service, ensuring all patients and visitors to One Hatfield Hospital receive a warm welcome and efficient support throughout their visit.

Please note: this is a Flexi Bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis; you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during periods of annual leave or absence.

  • Main responsibilities & duties of the role
  • Tasks may include appointment bookings, admission bookings, reception duties, check in procedures for patients, receipt of payment for bills.
  • Participation in preparation for clinic lists, taking patient payments and assisting with telephone enquiries.
  • Prepare documents and complete forms as per department procedures and business requirements.
  • Liaise regularly with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure that all incoming calls via switchboard are answered in a timely manner in line with company best practice.
  • Resolve customer queries, whether in person, via telephone or email in a professional manner.
  • Verify patients medical insurance details prior to admission.
  • Undertake general office duties and any other duties as may be requested by department lead

Qualifications

  • Minimum GCSE education or equivalent.

Experience

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
  • Previous administration experience in a business/health care sector environment.
  • 1 years relevant experience within an administrative or customer services role.
