Bradley Environmental Consultants has been delivering industry-leading asbestos services for over 34 years. Thanks to continued national growth and an ever-expanding client portfolio, we are looking for talented Asbestos Analysts, Surveyors, and Consultants to join our technical teams at multiple locations across England.

We are looking to recruit two full-time Quality Assurance Officers. The role would suit a pro-active and self-motivated surveyor/analyst who has excellent technical, organisational, and people skills, and is looking to take the next step in their professional development. Ideally, the successful candidate will currently be working in a quality auditing capacity or will have a recent and proven track record in this aspect of the industry.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Scheduling and carrying out method-witness audits and “5% reinspections” on surveyors and analysts, and reporting your findings to the auditees, Technical and Quality Management Teams.
  • Assisting the Quality Management Team with systems and processes, to give confidence that client services are carried out in compliance with our ISO 17020 and ISO 17025 accreditations.

What We're Looking For:

  • A combination of BOHS Proficiency Qualifications (or equivalent) such as the P401, P402, P403, P404, P405, W504 or CCP (Asbestos)/Certificate of Competence in Asbestos.
  • Practical experience of undertaking asbestos analytical and survey works.
  • Proven quality auditing track record.
  • Objectivity, independence, honesty and trustworthiness.
  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to plan your own diary, within the overall commitments and requirements of the Quality Management Team.
  • Be effective at dealing with people, including strong oral communication skills, and being able to handle difficult conversations, whilst showing both patience and diplomacy.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a keen focus on attention to detail.
  • An excellent understanding of Health & Safety with respect to asbestos-related works.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including occasional stays away.
  • Strong I.T. literacy (experience of working with TEAMS would be an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided).
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility in working hours.

What You'll Get in Return:

  • Industry-leading overtime policy, including a generous out-of-hours benefits package.
  • Work-Life Balance guarantee.
  • Paid travel time.
  • Company car (which is available for private use).
  • Company paid healthcare plan.
  • Company pension (into which the company contributes 3% of qualifying earnings).
  • 22 days’ holiday per calendar year (which rises to 25 days after 3 years’ service and 27 days after 5 years’ service), plus the 8 statutory bank holidays.
  • A paid day off for your birthday, or nearest working day where it falls on a weekend.
  • The successful candidate(s) will also be given the opportunity to undertake further qualifications, (including the W504/CoCA, if not already held), and the opportunity to develop their role within the business via a bespoke Continued Professional Development Plan.
