We are looking to employ a Project Engineer to join our engineering team on a minimum two year basis, supporting the installation, commissioning, and delivery of bespoke machinery and automated systems. This role is ideally suited to an engineer fluent in both English and Polish, supporting projects across the UK and Europe.
The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing the installation and commissioning of machinery within various engineering projects. This position is essential for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions that meet client specifications and enhance operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will work closely with our in-house design team, taking responsibility for project delivery through build support, installation, and commissioning. This role does not require machine design but does require strong engineering knowledge and on-site experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the project's installation and commissioning of machinery in accordance with project specifications and timelines from handover of design through to completion.
- Work closely with the internal design team to understand system requirements and relay that to our Polish Client.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
- Conduct site assessments and prepare detailed reports on machinery installation progress.
- Onsite fault finding, troubleshooting and technical support to resolve any technical issues that arise during the installation and commissioning phases.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
- Support electrical and software commissioning activities where required.
- Document all processes and maintain accurate records of project activities.
Essential Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in machinery installation and commissioning.
- Fluent in both English and Polish.
- Experience in a Project Engineer or similar engineering role.
- Knowledge of machinery installation and commissioning, with practical on-site experience.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies.
- Proficient in using engineering software and tools relevant to machinery installation.
- Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications produced by others.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, organisational, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe.
- Basic knowledge of PLC or control software.
