Join Our Growing Team at Jarvie Plant! We are looking for a skilled and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join our Plant Operations based from our Grangemouth Depot. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic team delivering essential accommodation and power solutions to customers across various sites.
As a key player in our logistics operation, you’ll ensure that our equipment reaches customers safely, efficiently, and in top condition helping us deliver on our promise of dependable, high-quality hire services.
How This Role Supports the Delivery of Hire Solutions:
In this hands-on, customer-facing role, you’ll be a vital link between our depot and our clients. Your work directly supports the delivery of hire solutions by ensuring seamless transport, expert handling, and exceptional service every step of the way.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely operate company Class 1 HGV vehicles to transport plant and power equipment to and from customer sites
- Supervise the safe loading and unloading of equipment, ensuring secure transport and correct placement
- Liaise with site managers and customers to confirm access requirements, delivery protocols, and security arrangements
- Navigate a wide range of customer sites carefully, adhering to site-specific rules and maintaining professionalism
- Conduct daily vehicle and equipment checks to ensure reliability and prevent avoidable delays or downtime
- Follow all company safety policies and legal transport regulations to protect yourself, the public, and your team
- Deliver outstanding customer service, maintaining a professional and positive image when representing Jarvie Plant on-site

You’re a reliable and safety-conscious driver with the qualifications, knowledge, and attitude to deliver an exceptional service. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Valid LGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Driver CPC qualification with up-to-date training
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- Strong understanding of EU driving hours and tachograph regulations
- Experience operating low loaders
- Experience operating side loader vehicles or willingness to be trained
- Experience of construction site deliveries (highly desirable)
- A strong safety focus and professional attitude on and off-site
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently and adapt to varying site conditions
