Role Overview: We are currently looking for a Floor Layer to join our team in the Gloucester area. To be considered for this role you will need to have a good understanding of all floor types and have the ability to cap and cove.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install various types of flooring materials, including vinyl sheet, cap and cove and vinyl tiles and latex
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, or smoothing surfaces
- Inspect flooring materials for defects or damage before installation
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during the installation process
- Communicate with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences
You will need:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Floor Layer
- Ability to cap and cove
- Knowledge of different types of flooring materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and floor plans
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
