Primary Responsibilities
Tocreate a welcoming, happy, and helpful atmosphere at Trebah by providingexceptional customer service as part of the visitor welcome. Meeting andgreeting visitors, you will ensure everyone feels welcome to Trebah.
Apositive can-do attitude is more important than experience as full trainingwill be given, but punctuality and the ability to communicate in an articulateand friendly manner is essential.
To work 4 days a week,10am - 2pm on Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 27th July - 31st August 2026.
Wewant our visitors to have an excellent first impression and to be able to askquestions and be guided to the next step of their visitor journey
TrebahGarden Trust has owned and operated Trebah Garden as an independent charity(no. ) since 1990. The work of our staff and time given by ourvolunteers contributes towards our charitable purpose, chiefly to: "preserve,enhance and re-create for the enjoyment of the public, the gardens ofTrebah". Todaywe welcome up to 120,000 visitors per annum to our gardens and our privatebeach.
Mainduties/responsibilities
Offeringa warm greeting to visitors
Identifyingvisitors' needs and offering relevant information and assistance to enhancetheir visit.
Guide all cars and coaches topark responsibly in our car park
Goodand appropriate radio communication with other relevant staff members
Gaina knowledge of Trebah, its garden and history
Asvisitors leave make sure they have a good lasting impression
Ensuringthe Health & Safety of visitors and acting as the eyes and ears andreporting any concerns immediately
Inaddition, all employees have a responsibility for their own Health & Safetyand that of others (staff, volunteers and visitors), when carrying out theirduties
Postholderswill be required to wear Trebah uniform and badge (provided)

Abilityto work calmly under pressure and use own initiative
