WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team, specialising in conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and carrying out associated remedial works. This role is vital in ensuring electrical safety and compliance within domestic and commercial properties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct EICRs in accordance with the latest edition of the BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Identify and report any electrical issues, defects or non-compliances.
- Accurately complete and submit EICR documentation using paper forms or electronic software.
- Carry out remedial works following unsatisfactory EICRs, ensuring all work is compliant and certified.
- Replace consumer units, install bonding, correct circuit faults, and upgrade wiring where required.
- Liaise professionally with clients, tenants, landlords, and property managers.
- Maintain a high standard of work with attention to safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Ensure all tools, materials, and PPE are maintained and used correctly.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to meet job targets and deadlines.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent (Testing & Inspection).
- Proven experience completing EICRs and remedial works.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good understanding of current electrical safety standards and legislation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
