About the Role

We are looking for someone to join our Data Centre Engineering team to complete statutory and non-statutory maintenance to our critical M&E Infrastructure across our owned sites.

The role involves routine and unplanned maintenance of the critical and non‑critical M&E infrastructure along with provisioning IT services to meet the requirements of our internal and external customers.

IT service provisioning may be required at any of our operational sites.

All work is recorded using our industry‑leading management portals, including CAFM, DCIM and Service Management tools.

Duties are required to be carried out in accordance with our contractual SLAs.

As data centres operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, this role includes participation in an on‑call rota.

About You

The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

You will have strong time‑management skills and be able to prioritise your workload effectively.

This role requires continuous professional development, so the successful candidate will be keen to develop their knowledge and skills through on‑the‑job training, formal learning, and ongoing self‑development.

Responsibilities

  • Complete statutory and non‑statutory maintenance of critical M&E assets
  • Carry out condition monitoring of critical M&E and IT assets
  • Respond to issues promptly and efficiently to ensure contractual SLAs are maintained
  • Complete and document fault‑finding as part of root cause analysis
  • Provision IT services in accordance with approved workflows
  • Report and track issues using the appropriate management tools
  • Keep management and relevant departments informed of progress and any issues at all times
  • Promote and adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Assist Operations and Security teams as required

  • Previous experience of working within a Facilities Management environment as an Electrical or Mechanical Engineer
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent IT user
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and focused when working under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
