SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Night Shift Labourer is responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of the site, and will identify and reduce risks and hazards to health and safety. They will assist the site operators, and provide great levels of customer service when dealing with deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure high levels of Health, Safety and Environmental practice with a duty of care to yourself and others.
- Keeping the facility clean and tidy at all times.
- SCA DA Operation.
- Jet wash and clean main hall, yard, bunds and main drive.
- Operation of main hall doors for waste reception.
- Swap and empty mass dolays.
- General housekeeping activities.
- Remove and clean site filter box.
- Monitor digester overflows and unblock as required.
- Oversee exchange of on-site packaging containers.
- Assist Site Operators with incoming delivery acceptance.
- Prompt reporting of SHEQ related near misses and incidents.
- Sundry tasks as requested.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure the overflow is operating smoothly.
- Promote and demonstrate safe working practices at all times.
- Operational hygiene and housekeeping activities.
- Working as part of a team to ensure KPI's are met for the company budget.
- Smooth running of the reception area.
Personal Specification:
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role.
- Honest, approachable, can-do, flexible, consistent, self-starter able to roll sleeves up as required.
- Counter Balance Forklift Licence.
- PAS110 understanding for which training will be given.
- Previous experience working in waste management operations.
- Can identify hazards and risks and deal with them appropriately.
- A respectful and effective team player.
- Good physical fitness in order to carry out manual labouring tasks.
- Demonstrates commitment to Bio Capital values.
- Ability to carry out instructions as well as using own initiative.
Shift Pattern: 4 nights on, 4 nights off.
