Hours: 42.12 Hours, 7:00am to 4:00pm, on a shift pattern Monday through to Sunday. 4 on 4 off.

As a part of the Bio Capital Group, Earnside Energy, a proud and passionate team, are seeking a dedicated Site Operator to be involved in the day to day running of our renewable energy plant. The job will involve basic maintenance, cleaning, laboratory testing, machinery operation and much more.
Summary of Position
The main objective of this role is to assist with the daily operational needs of the business and have a positive impact on the site, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe and compliant manner at all times.
- Ensure high levels of Health, Safety and Environmental practice with a duty of care to yourself and others.
- Operate the facility in line with policy and procedure.
- Keeping the facility clean, dry, and tidy at all times.
- Incoming load inspection and acceptance for both AD and IVC Operations.
- Removal of physical contaminants from incoming loads and compost oversize.
- Screening of compost batches.
- Operation of mobile plant including conducting daily checks and immediate reporting of defects.
- Operation of De-Packaging plant & load with AD input materials.
- Daily Checks on Fixed Plant & Equipment.
- Safely and effectively monitor the operation of the process.
- Liaise with third party contractors to report breakdowns, co-ordinate repairs.
- Internal laboratory testing of feedstock and digestate.
- Daily recording of AD Plant performance data.
- Monthly stock take of critical spares and site consumables.
- Load slow speed shredder, IVC bunkers and mobile trailer with co-mingled waste for composting.
- Forming and turning of compost windrows within CMB.
- Load collection vehicles with compost for dispatch.
- Transfer of incoming waste to designated storage bays within reception hall.
- Jet wash and clean operational areas surfaces, general housekeeping tasks.
- Prompt reporting of SHEQ related near misses and incidents.
- Sundry tasks as requested.
Primary Responsibilities

- Working as part of a team to ensure KPIs are met for the company budget.
- Taking samples for laboratory testing.
- Daily recording of AD plant performance data.
- Promote and demonstrate safe working practices at all times.
- Operation of plant machinery including conducting daily checks and immediate reporting of defects.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be able to work outside.
- Must be willing to work with food waste.
- Must use own initiative.
- Previous SCADA operations experience is essential.
- Ability to work with computers and technology.
- Can identify risks and hazards.
- UK Driving Licence.
- PAS110 and PAS100 awareness desirable.
- Full-time permanent required.
- Experience: Site Operator: 1 year (required).
- Ability to commute/relocate: Perth: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
- Schedule: Day shift.
