As a Materials Dispensing Technician, you will play a vital role in bringing our products to life. You will be responsible for the accurate dispensing and weighing of the raw materials used across our manufacturing process, ensuring every batch meets the high standards our community knows and loves. This is a hands‑on role that combines precision, care and pride in your craft. You will work inline with GMP and safety standards, keeping traceability and quality at the heart of everything you do, while supporting a close‑knit, values‑led factory team. Key Responsibilities
- Weighing and Dispensing: Accurately weigh and record raw materials in line with Work Orders and production requirements. Use our stock management system to weigh, track and issue materials. Ensure all materials are clearly identified, batch‑coded and fully traceable.
- Compliance and Quality: Work in line with GMP, COSHH and Tropic’s quality standards at all times. Check materials for contaminants, damage and correct quantities before use. Calibrate and maintain weighing equipment and scales on a regular basis. Maintain full, accurate documentation and batch records.
- Stock Control: Plan and prioritise Work Orders for material weighing. Re‑stock materials in the correct storage areas following use. Take part in routine stock takes and help ensure accurate inventory control. Ensure all materials required for bulk manufacturing are organised and prepared the day before production is scheduled.
- Training and Team Support: Help induct and train new team members, sharing your knowledge and best practice. Support continuous improvement and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain clear and timely communication with the Shift Lead and Supervision regarding any issues, delays or discrepancies identified during the shift.
- Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across weighing and storage areas. Clean and sanitise all equipment before and after use. Manage and dispose of waste materials safely and in line with company procedures. Wear and maintain appropriate PPE at all times. Follow all safety, environmental and company policies.

- Confident following SOPs and documentation rigorously, with a methodical, process‑led approach.
- Comfortable using computer‑based stock or ERP systems.

- Previous experience in a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment (beauty, food, pharma or similar) is a real plus, but not essential – we welcome colleagues who are eager to learn.
