We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised

Supporter Engagement Officer to help grow our community of supporters and developmeaningful relationships that make a lasting difference.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting new role within our growing Fundraising Team.

Working closely with our Fundraising, Grants &Partnerships Manager, you'll take ownership of our membership and animaladoption programmes while supporting a wide range of fundraising initiatives.

From welcoming new members and developing supportercommunications to helping to deliver fundraising campaigns and communityevents, you'll play a key role in ensuring every supporter feels valued andinspired to continue supporting Welsh Mountain Zoo.

No two days are the same.

One day you might be creatingadoption packs and welcoming new members, the next supporting a fundraisingappeal, attending a community event or developing engaging supportercommunications that showcase the impact of every donation.

What you'll be doing

You'll be responsible for

  • Managingand developing the Zoo's membership and animal adoption programmes.
  • Deliveringan outstanding experience for members, adopters and supporters.
  • Coordinatingsupporter communications, newsletters and fundraising updates.
  • Supportingfundraising campaigns, appeals and community fundraising initiatives.
  • Actingas the first point of contact for fundraising enquiries.
  • Workingwith colleagues across the Zoo to develop engaging fundraising content andsupporter stories.
  • Maintainingaccurate supporter records and fundraising databases.
  • Monitoringmembership, adoption and fundraising performance to identify opportunitiesfor growth.
  • Helpingdeliver fundraising events and supporter engagement activities.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationshipsand making a positive impact.

You'll ideally have experience within fundraising, supporterengagement, customer service, visitor attractions or the charity sector, together with:

  • Excellentcommunication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strongorganisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experiencemanaging databases or CRM systems.
  • Confidenceproducing engaging written communications, including creating, managingand analysing large-scale supporter communications through email marketingplatforms.
  • Theability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Aproactive, positive attitude with a genuine passion for conservation andhelping others support great causes.
