About My Client
My client is a sixth-generation, independent family-run business with a long-standing reputation within the local community.
The business includes a busy café serving freshly prepared food, creating a welcoming environment for customers throughout the week.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef looking for a genuine daytime role within an established and well-loved independent business.
The Role
We're looking for a hands-on Chef to work alongside the Head Chef and support the day-to-day running of the café kitchen.
You will prepare fresh food to a consistently high standard while working as part of a small and friendly kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook freshly made food to a high standard
- Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day kitchen operation
- Maintain consistency, quality and presentation
- Assist with menu preparation and seasonal dishes
- Support stock rotation and minimise food waste
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and efficient
- Work positively as part of a small kitchen team
- 1 Head Chef

- Front of House team
- Pot Wash
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
- An experienced Sous Chef or Senior Chef
- Passionate about fresh food
- Reliable and organised
- Able to work well as part of a small team
- Positive and hardworking
- Consistent in maintaining food quality and hygiene standards
- Happy working daytime hours and alternating weekends
