Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care
- Assist clients with bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support mobility, including transfers and use of mobility aids
- Assist with continence care where required
- Daily Living Support
- Help with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Support clients with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Assist with medication reminders in line with care plans
- Emotional and Social Support
- Provide companionship and conversation
- Encourage participation in social and community activities
- Support clients in maintaining independence and wellbeing
- Health & Monitoring
- Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or mental health
- Maintain accurate care records and report to supervisors
- Follow individual care plans and risk assessments
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow safeguarding procedures and health & safety policies
- Maintain confidentiality and respect client dignity
- Ensure infection control and hygiene standards are met

- Basic literacy and record-keeping skills
- Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in care (preferred but not always required)
- NVQ / Diploma in Health and Social Care (desirable)
- Willingness to complete training such as safeguarding and manual handling
- Enhanced DBS check required
- Right to work in the UK
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required
- Working Conditions
- Work takes place in clients’ homes within the community
- Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Travel between clients may be required
