Role Overview: To undertake the cleaning, clearance, sanitisation, and mould remediation of vacant residential and occupied properties, ensuring homes are returned to a safe, hygienic, and lettable standard. The role involves carrying out specialist mould treatment, deep cleaning, waste removal, and minor property preparation works in accordance with company procedures, health and safety legislation, and customer service standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform deep cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, communal spaces, and external areas to meet agreed lettable standards.
  • Identify, assess, and treat mould growth using approved cleaning agents, fungicidal treatments, and specialist equipment.
  • Remove mould‑contaminated materials where required and prepare surfaces for redecoration.
  • Undertake mould washing and sanitisation works in accordance with company policies and COSHH regulations.
  • Complete minor remedial works associated with damp and mould treatment, including surface preparation, stain blocking, and touch‑up decorating.
  • Use anti‑mould growth paint.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed works, including photographs, inspection reports, and job sheets.
  • Report property defects, health and safety concerns, and safeguarding issues to management.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, tools, vehicles, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, housing officers, maintenance teams, and contractors to achieve service objectives.
  • Deliver a professional and customer‑focused service at all times.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Comply with all Health and Safety legislation, company policies, and safe working practices.
  • Adhere to COSHH regulations when handling cleaning chemicals and mould treatment products.

  • Carry out risk assessments and follow method statements where required.
