We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Receptionist & Administrator to join our Canterbury office on a part-time basis.

The Role
As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional experience.
You will also support the firm's new enquiries process, ensuring prospective clients receive a prompt, courteous and efficient service.
Working closely with colleagues across the office, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of reception while supporting the firm's client onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities
- Reception
- Welcome clients, visitors and contractors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain a tidy, welcoming and well-presented reception area.
- Answer, screen and transfer incoming telephone calls efficiently.
- Respond to general enquiries and direct clients to the appropriate department.
- Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
- Book meeting rooms and prepare them for client meetings where required.
- Provide refreshments for clients and visitors as appropriate.
- Carry out general administrative tasks to support the office.

- Handle new client enquiries by telephone, email and in person.
- Obtain relevant information from prospective clients accurately and sensitively.
- Carry out initial conflict checks and client onboarding administration in line with firm procedures.
- Allocate enquiries to the appropriate legal team.
- Record enquiries accurately using the firm's case management system.
- Deliver a high standard of client care throughout the enquiry process.
- Follow up enquiries where appropriate and maintain accurate records.
- General Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to provide excellent administrative support.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR, SRA requirements and firm policies.
- Provide reception cover during periods of annual leave and other planned absences where available.
- Undertake any other reasonable administrative duties appropriate to the role.

- Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house or customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, approachable and confident manner.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload and remain calm in a busy environment.
- A positive, flexible and reliable approach to work.
- Previous experience working within a legal or professional services environment.
