The purpose of this role is to drive proactive and sustainable growth within the Eastern Area by generating new business opportunities, improving quotation conversation rates, and building new client relationships. The Eastern Area Sales Lead will introduce structured sales ownership aligned with regional growth strategy and operational delivery capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Target new clients across highways, local authorities, Tier 1/Tier 2 contractors, and commercial sectors.
  • Undertake structured cold calling and business development activity.
  • Track and proactively follow up submitted quotations.
  • Maintain and report on a live sales pipeline in conjunction with the bigger business.

Accountability:

  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively promote offerings.
  • Ensuring pricing discipline, margin protection, and operational alignment.
  • Handle customers queries and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Follow up on leads and customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner.

External relationships and communication:

  • Communicate with prospective and existing customers via phone and email.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and encourage repeat business.

Internal relationships and communications:

  • Working with all members of the Bury and wider Company teams and proactively establishing support required through effective two-way communication both written and verbal.

Knowledge and Experience - Essential:

  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.

Knowledge and Experience – Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a telesales, sales, or customer service role.
  • Knowledge of the company’s industry/products/service.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

Education and Training – Essential:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Taught or self-taught computer skills – software and basic hardware.
  • GDPR and Cyber Security.
