As a Support General Manager at Daish’s Holidays, you’ll play a key role in supporting our General Managers across multiple hotel locations. You’ll travel between our hotels to provide operational support, help maintain high standards and provide leadership to our teams wherever you are needed.
This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who is confident leading teams, enjoys being hands‑on and is comfortable adapting to different hotel environments. The successful candidate will need to be able to travel regularly between multiple Daish’s hotel sites, sometimes at short notice, depending on the needs of the business.

What will you be doing?
- Supporting General Managers with the day-to-day running of our hotels across multiple locations.
- Travelling between Daish’s hotel sites to provide operational support where required
- Taking responsibility for the hotel in the General Manager’s absence
- Providing additional management support during busy periods, staff shortages, holidays and other operational requirements
- Supporting and leading department managers and team members to achieve high standards
- Helping to ensure all departments work effectively together to provide a smooth guest experience
- Maintaining Daish’s standards for clean and comfortable accommodation, good food, great entertainment and friendly service
- Supporting the recruitment, induction, training and development of team members
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to colleagues across the hotel
- Monitoring guest feedback and dealing with queries, concerns and complaints professionally and effectively
- Ensuring appropriate action is taken to resolve guest issues and maintain guest satisfaction
- Supporting the management of staffing levels, rotas and operational requirements
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and managing costs within the hotel
- Supporting General Managers with achieving operational and financial targets
- Ensuring company policies, procedures and standards are followed consistently across our hotels
- Supporting Health & Safety, food safety, fire safety and other compliance requirements
- Completing and monitoring relevant checks, records and documentation
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, standards and the overall guest experience
- Working closely with the People Team and other departments within the wider business when required
- Sharing knowledge and best practice between different hotel locations
- Leading by example and creating a positive, friendly and supportive working environment
- Being hands‑on and supporting different areas of the hotel during busy periods when required
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties required to support the successful operation of the business
What are we looking for?
- Previous hotel or hospitality management experience
- Experience of leading and supporting teams in busy operational environments
- A confident and approachable leadership style
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly between multiple Daish’s hotel sites
- Flexibility to work at different locations depending on the needs of the business
- A full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport would be advantageous
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident dealing with guest complaints and resolving problems effectively
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of controlling costs and resources
- Able to motivate, develop and support team members
- Able to prioritise and make effective decisions in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify and resolve issues
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and hospitality compliance requirements
- Able to quickly adapt to different teams, hotels and working environments
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility

This is a multi‑site senior hotel management position and will require flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
The successful candidate will be required to travel between multiple Daish’s hotels, sometimes at short notice, depending on where operational support is needed. Travel may involve working at different hotel locations from your usual base, so you must be comfortable with regular travel as part of the role.
The role will include weekends and bank holidays, as well as varied shifts depending on the operational requirements of the hotel. You may also be required to support hotels outside of your normal working hours when operational circumstances require.
